Fantasy Island

Fantasy Island is Tucson’s original mountain bike trail system. Built over the years by dedicated pioneers of the sport, the northern section is now preserved as a Tucson city park. This park is managed and maintained by SDMB in cooperation with the City of Tucson.
SDMB recently installed trail signage throughout the northern Fantasy Island trail network.
Follow our Fantasy Island Facebook Page for updates and trail-work volunteer opportunities! The trails to the south, known as the Bunny Trails, are located on State Trust land. You can visit Arizona State Land Department for information and regulations governing these lands. Please reach out if you have questions, comments, concerns or want to help out. Trail maintenance and improvements are only possible with your support.
Rider Alert: Tucson Water has begun construction of a 4th recharge basin at the SHARP facility. Unfortunately, this requires the closure of some commonly used access points for the Bunny trails and Loop path. We're working with the local neighborhood association on a more direct detour, but for now these are the best options we have. The project is scheduled to be completed Spring 2026, and all access points will be restored. The Tucson Water SHARP webpage may have additional information.
