Friends of Redington Pass Meeting

Monday, November 17th – 7:00pm

We encourage you to come out on Monday, November 17 at 7:00pm for the second community meeting. Location is at Emily Gray Junior High School at 2300 N. Tanque Verde Loop Road. The FRP folks will be reporting the input they’ve gathered from the various user groups and organizations that utilized Redington Pass. We need to have a great MTB user turnout. If you haven’t yet taken the FRP Survey, you can do so on their website.

Monday, April 28th – 7-9:00 p.m.

Please join us and the Friends of Redington Pass (FRP) next Monday, April 28th, 7:00-9:00 PM, for a community meeting on the future of Redington Pass. We would like to get a good turnout from all the users in the Pass and we need your support to represent mountain bicyclists interests adequately!!!

The purpose of this first meeting is to get input from everyone interested in the Pass. FRP is developing a Collaborative Area Management Plan proposal to submit to the Forest Service with recommendations on how to improve management of the Pass. We have been working with them to focus on what people enjoy doing now in the Pass, areas where there are concerns, and what they would like to see in the future. Participants will be locating special areas and areas of concern on sets of maps we are preparing for the meeting. We will also be reaching out over the summer and early fall to attend others’ group meetings to gather more input. In addition, FRP will also be creating a space on our website for people to provide input on line.

Please note that the meeting location is in the Lew Sorenson Community Center at the Emily Gray School (east side). For more information, visit the FRP website.
