24 Hours in the Old Pueblo Located north of Oracle off of Willow Springs road, the course for Epic Ride's 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo has added some single track. It now measures slightly over 18 miles and has a vertical change of only 620 ft. This is a fast, non-technical course (with one exception). It needs to be since it is used for the 24 hour race and we certainly wouldn't want anyone getting hurt at night. It is hard enough to ride with lights when you are tired. The faster riders do the loop in about an hour 10 minutes. The rest of us take about 20 minutes longer. This is an early morning ride or cool weather outing. DIRECTIONS: Head north on Oracle past Oracle Junction to Willow Springs Road which is about 1.2 mile before the turn to Biosphere II. Take a left (the only way you can go) on Willow Springs and keep going (check the map - it's a long drive on that dirt road) until you get to an arch which crosses the road announcing Willow Springs Ranch. You can get onto the course about 100 feet past this sign on your left. (this is much easier than trying to drive to the start / finish) This course is under revision (more and better single track being added all the time).
